Today marked the exciting launch of Entech’s new IMPACT initiative.
A group effort, IMPACT, which stands for “I Made Planet Affecting Choices Today,” was launched with an understated buzz, as the input of several core Entech team members was brought together into a collective initiative. Spearheaded by Jodie, Anne, and Nayte, the program is focused on reducing the carbon footprint of Entech, improving efficiency, and making Entech a better place for our employees, customers, and community.
Most of the discussions during this meeting were research related; improving our recycling program, lowering energy consumption, managing harsh chemicals used in fabrication, capturing rainwater (we have 50,000 square feet of roof space!!), painting the roof white to reduce heat buildup, and many many more.
We’re excited to do this for ourselves and for our community. Keep track of our progress by clicking on “Entech IMPACT” in the top left of the NEWS Page.

Entech Creative Master Carpenter, Billy Rae
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Billy Rae, someone relatively new to Entech Creative, has undoubtedly made a significant impact on how things work around here in the past year. Having worked in interior boating for 20+ years and assisting over 450+ companies, Billy is certainly a one-man carpentry force to be reckoned with.
Organization, organization, organization. The mantra Billy lives by. It’s common to see other employees referring to Billy for advice in just this matter. From working on the Ford Tower to Morocco, it’s not hard to see that his ideologies have worked for him nicely. It’s a bit entertaining to watch Billy always return tools to the exact place it belonged before moving along, but you have to admire that kind of meticulousness. “Everything has its place,” chants Billy.
His favorite job just happened to be involving the Ford Tower construction. Now, at first glance, Billy may not emanate the artsy type, but surprisingly enough, Billy thoroughly enjoyed working on the tower for just that reason. According to Billy, “the tower was not just another dull cookie cutter project, it involved a level of artistry that I rarely get a chance to work on; because of that, the project had more meaning to me.”
“Stay busy, and make sure you feel like you’ve accomplished something before you leave.” It’s hard not to admire someone that brings in this attitude day in and day out. If you’re working with Entech, you’re lucky enough to be working with Billy as well. Bravo, Billy.
Anne supports Linda Stewart
Thursday, September 3rd, 2009
This week, Entech President Anne Herzog went off site to support Orange County Commissioner Linda Stewart, who is currently running for Orange County Mayor. This special event was the opening of Commissioner Stewart’s official campaign office in the Gatlin Shopping Center.
Anne and Linda spent a little time talking before the event this past Monday, about Commissioner Stewart’s strong support base and the upcoming elections. Both are excited at the prospects for change and growth, and have become fast friends because of the tenacity and the strides each has made improving business and the community in Orange County.
Recently recognized by Orange county as an MBE, Entech is proud of our committment to diversity, and happy to wave our flag supporting Linda’s onward march towards Mayor.
