When CommonGround marketing needed to develop and execute two large scale disruptive experiential environments for a series of new product brand activations in New York and Chicago, they turned to Entech Creative.

For this process, Entech first developed a series of mood boards for the event, playing off the demographic and target research for the new product launch. These mood boards led to further research of the concepting of the interior and exterior of the disruptive environment. Some initial structural designs included roofs pitched at odd angles and vibrant colors. Discussions and further development, however, led to the simple “CUBE” structure as the most striking and disruptive.

While our engineering team set to work figuring wind loads, assembly time, and packing requirements, our in house team of designers set about constructing a space that would incorporate all the elements that the customer wanted to include: Plasma TV’s, dj booth, sampling station, lounge chairs, and more. With a fully tricked out interior designed, sourced, and priced to budget, the big blow to the project came on the news that the budget had been cut significantly.

Fortunately, Entech engineers and designers are knoweledgable in scalability and value engineering. Within a few days, the entire campaign was redesigned to fit with the new budget, retaining the most important key elements; namley the striking shape and size as well and clean interior elements.

Each cube is a 24’ x 24’ x 15’ high custom made structure that can be easily assembled, stored, or shipped for eye catching duty at the next promotional event.

We’re proud of all of our projects, and pleased to present the Sprite Brand Activation cubes as an example of creative thinking, time sensitivity, value engineering, and ultimately delivering an experience mechanism to help achieve our customer’s goals.

Several of our partner companies gave presentations on their technologies and most had representatives onsite to mingle and answer questions. Almost a mini-trade show, we had production companies, media specialty, muscle cars, event planners, museum exhibit, and even a specialty cake baker.

Following the Open House, the comment we most often heard was “I didn’t know you guys did all this.” It’s true, we do.

Of special note, the lobby business card bowl drawing was done on Friday afternoon, and Monday afternoon, Nayte Carrick, Director of Marketing for Entech, presented Debbie Mooser, an Account Manager for WFTV Channel 9, with the lime green iPod Shuffle. Congratulations Debbie!

If you missed this open house, never fear, you can come to the next one. Scheduled for Thursday, November 5th from 4-7PM here at Entech’s Facility, I can guarantee that you’ll not want to miss this one.

This is a late breaking story on the blossoming exclusive partnership between Entech Creative Industries and Kokoro of Japan. While the details of the partnership are still under wraps (you’d better believe that this marketing guy will post them as soon as they’re available), we do know that the deal is structured towards Entech Creative taking on North American marketing, sales, and distribution of the Kokoro line of advanced robotics, also known as “Actroids.”

At this point two main means of distribution are being considered; development and construction of new and customized robotic characters and actroids, and rental of existing creations. With a large library of existing characters and animals readily available, Entech will be offering rental and leasing options for short term delivery. As well, with the ability to plan and develop highly developed, photo-realistic, multi-lingual actroids capable of complex motions and emotive expressions at a price point that is extremely competitive, Entech will be aggressively marketing these special built applications to a broad range of current and new customers.

Kokoro is very well known for life-like human robots (see the video in this post and the other video links to the Kokoro marketing videos we swiped on the way out of the lobby). The precision and hand craftsmanship of each of their robot projects is astounding and has been featured in a number of US publications, including Wired.com.

Future product launches for the Kokoro line are planned in the Theme and Amusement Park Industries (at the IAAPA show), Museum Industry (at ASTC and AAM), Experiential Marketing (through Entech’s marketing and advertising channels), and other direct sales and marketing routes.

Henry McKinley has been with Entech Creative for more than two years and in that time has proven to be an invaluable member of our technical and systems team. Henry brings experience in electrical and systems troubleshooting, CAD Drafting, and PLC & Touch screen programming, and having served four years in the US Navy troubleshooting and repairing missile launch and fire control interfaces, Henry’s tactical approach to efficient problem solving means that Entech’s Systems shop runs like a well oiled machine.

Stepping into the back room of the office where the shop is located, you’ll undoubtedly hear classical music from the custom built stereo. It is from this shop that Henry and his team have worked on several key projects, including Space Ship Earth, Simpson’s Ride, Hard Rock Honolulu’s Waikiki Wave, and many of our roller coaster control systems, including those for Star Liner, Cypress Gardens/Kima Coaster, and Kima Texas/Ridge Rider.

“There’s no obstacle I can’t overcome,” said Henry recently. This might sound like hot air to anyone who doesn’t know his record. On his most memorable job, the Simpson’s ride, Henry and his seven man team completed all of the systems work on this large project on time and above the client’s expectation. To date, not a single electrical or systems problem has been reported on any of Henry’s work, even with thousands of duty cycles already complete.

If you’re wondering who’s working on your electrical and control systems, if it’s Entech, it just might be Henry. Henry, we salute you.

The Arizona Science Center’s 140,000 square foot facility was opened in 1997 and includes 40,000 square feet of gallery space with more than 300 hands on exhibits, a 300 person IMAX theater, and a 200 person planetarium with world leading projection and audio technology.

Shortly after the installation, we received this letter from Joshua Sheehan who is the Guest Experience Manager for the Science Center:

Thank you for all of your amazing work to get the Arizona Science Centers SkyCycle High Wire Bike Exhibit installed. Thank you for a great job well done and please keep in contact if there are any new accessories designed for this exhibit in the future.
